Back to Shoreham, this time to get out on the wave kit. Disappointingly it was very onshore again today - much more so than hoped/expected, and not much difference in the wind angle compared with yesterday. Proper windy though, and probably the biggest waves I've ever seen at Shoreham, with several headhigh+ lumps rolling in. Due to the onshore gheyness and muchos white water I rigged big to make sure I got off the beach. This meant I was on the brink of being overpowered on the outside, but with the 5.2 fully downhauled I was just about OK. A full-on session battling against the onshore conditions and big waves with some half-decent backside bum-wiggling, and most of it in glorious sunshine. Two harness lines died, meaning a trip to Surfladle was necessary which ate into valuable sailing time. All in all not a great session due to the onshoreness, but wind+waves+sunshine = Happy Harry. Hopefully it'll be more cross-shore tomorrow.
